Family of Road Accident Victim in Delhi Secures Rs 67 Lakh Compensation

The Delhi Motor Accident Claims Tribunal has ruled in favor of the family of Prem Kumar Jha, awarding Rs 67 lakh in compensation for his death in a road accident in Outer Delhi's Bawana area.
The tribunal, presided over by Richa Manchanda, determined that Jha's death was caused by rash driving. The tribunal rejected defense arguments from the driver's side, instead relying on evidence including a criminal case record and eyewitness testimony. Compensation with 7.5% annual interest is to be provided to Jha's family, ensuring financial support for his wife, two children, and mother.
