Migrant Worker Killed by Mob in Tamil Nadu After Alleged Misconduct
A migrant worker in Tamil Nadu was fatally assaulted by a mob after accusations of inappropriate behavior towards a woman. The man, identified as Prosenjit Das from Assam, succumbed to his injuries following the attack. Authorities are investigating the incident.

In Tamil Nadu's Thiruvallur district, a tragic incident unfolded as a migrant laborer was beaten to death by a local mob. The victim, Prosenjit Das, had allegedly acted inappropriately toward a woman, prompting her to seek help from her family.
Das, who traveled with six others from Assam seeking employment, reportedly caused a disturbance after consuming alcohol. According to police reports, he approached a woman under the guise of requesting water but began to behave aggressively, resulting in her shutting her door for protection. This escalation led her to call relatives, who, along with local residents, gathered and assaulted Das.
The injuries sustained by Das proved fatal. Law enforcement has registered a case and is actively pursuing the investigation to piece together the events that led to this violent act.
