The Tamil Nadu government announced that beginning June 1, 2026, all Human Resource Management department staff are required to check in using biometric and face-ID systems. This mandatory measure aims to enhance attendance tracking and ensure timely arrivals.
According to a circular from deputy secretary Thankapappa, issued following directives from the principal secretary, employees must clock in by 10 am digitally, alongside traditional manual sign-ins. This initiative addresses concerns over frequent delays reported by secretariat sources.
