A significant breakthrough for law enforcement came as a Himanshu Bhau gang member was captured following a shootout with police in Delhi's Mundka area. The 26-year-old suspect, known as Ashish alias Don, had been sought in four separate criminal instances.

The apprehension occurred after a police team, acting on credible intelligence, set a trap near the UER-II underpass. As Ashish arrived to meet an associate while armed, he attempted to flee by firing at the officers. The police retaliated, resulting in an exchange of gunfire that ended with Ashish's capture. A bullet struck an officer's bulletproof jacket during the encounter, but no injuries were reported.

The arrested gang member was found with a semi-automatic pistol and empty cartridges. Investigations have revealed his involvement in numerous previous offenses, including shootings and robberies. Police efforts persist in tracking down accomplices and delving deeper into the gang's activities.
