Kim Jong Un's Call for an Exponential Nuclear Expansion

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has once again emphasized the expansion of the country's nuclear capabilities, state media KCNA reported on Thursday. During his visit to a newly operational nuclear production facility, Kim called for an 'exponential' increase in the atomic arsenal.

Reports indicated that the production capacity for weapons-grade nuclear material has more than doubled in the past five years. Kim instructed officials to further escalate output to align with North Korea's long-term strategic goals. He reviewed advancements in production technology and assessed the nation's current and future nuclear plans.

Amid what he described as worsening security threats, Kim reaffirmed the nation's policy to continuously bolster its nuclear deterrent. A key consultative meeting on strengthening nuclear forces was held, where Kim laid out guidelines for both qualitative and quantitative nuclear expansion. North Korea, he stated, has set a 'transformative milestone' in advancing its nuclear capabilities.
