A devastating fire occurred early Wednesday morning in west Delhi's Vishnu Garden, claiming the life of 13-year-old Jaspreet and leaving his grandmother, Swamjeet Kaur, injured. The blaze is suspected to have originated from a short circuit, local officials reported.

The fire department swiftly dispatched four fire tenders to the scene, managing to control the flames by 4:10 AM. Unfortunately, local residents found Jaspreet unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The fire reportedly started from an electric scooter and swiftly engulfed surrounding household items on the ground floor.

Family members were alerted by Jaspreet's uncle who noticed the flames while the boy was still asleep. Despite desperate attempts by family and neighbors to rescue him, their efforts were in vain. Authorities are continuing their investigation to confirm the exact cause of the fire.
