The operation included strategic missile strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
Pawar, previously a defense minister, underlined the necessity of the strikes stating they were targeted at terror camps, with measures in place to avoid civilian casualties. The operation sent a clear global message: India is assertive in defending its sovereignty and combating terrorism.
