On Wednesday, India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman heralded 'Operation Sindoor' as a robust demonstration by the nation's armed forces, asserting India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Her remarks came in the wake of the army's strategic missile strikes targeting nine terror locations.
In the early hours, the Indian military executed precision missile strikes on sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. These included the strongholds of notorious groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammad in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke. This operation was prompted by a recent attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 civilian lives.
Minister Sitharaman, currently attending the Asian Development Bank's annual meeting in Milan, conveyed on the social media platform X that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, India remains committed to targeting every terror proponent.
