An all-party meeting convened to discuss Operation Sindoor saw the opposition express solidarity with the government and armed forces. Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need for a Parliament session to send a united front to the world, as well as instill confidence domestically, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reported.
After the meeting, Kharge expressed disappointment over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's absence, noting the lack of his direct input on the nation's anti-terrorism efforts. He highlighted that security concerns in border areas were raised, and unity was assured among the army to take decisive actions.
The government reassured steps would be taken to protect those affected by border violence. Meanwhile, opposition leaders aligned with the government's discreet handling of sensitive defense information, as Rajnath Singh acknowledged the criticality of maintaining secrecy for national security.
