The Congress party is set to hold a 'Jai Hind Yatra' across all Indian states on May 9 to demonstrate solidarity following the recent Operation Sindoor, according to party sources. The procession will take place in every Pradesh Congress Committee unit nationwide.

An all-party meeting was held earlier to inform political leaders about the escalating tensions with Pakistan. This comes after India's military targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and its occupied territory as retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack. The Congress extended its support to the government but questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's absence from the crucial meeting.

Following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan responded by targeting various military sites in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles. These threats were neutralized by India's defense systems. Meanwhile, Indian forces continued strategic offensives, aiming to dismantle key terror infrastructure linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The situation remains tense, with both sides demanding military restraint amidst growing casualties.
