The BJP in Kerala has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's request for a special session of Parliament dedicated to discussing the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, branding his demand as hypocritical.
State BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar questioned Gandhi's commitment, highlighting his reported absenteeism from Parliament when crucial legislation is debated. Chandrasekhar remarked that decisions on special sessions are a prerogative of the Union government.
The BJP underscored India's recent defensive success against Pakistan as evidence of its military preparedness while opposition leaders press for a unified stance against terrorism. However, Indo-Pak tensions saw some resolution with a ceasefire agreement after the severe confrontation.
