A tragic incident unfolded in Punjab as a result of a Pakistani aerial intrusion, leading to the death of 50-year-old Sukhwinder Kaur. She succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to a private hospital, officials have confirmed. Her family, who were also injured, continue to receive treatment.

The attack took place in the village of Khai Pheme Ke, where debris from the intrusion set the family's home and car ablaze. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for Kaur's family, expressing deep sorrow over her passing.

Rajnath Singh of the Rajya Sabha also extended financial support with an announcement of Rs 2 lakh for the bereaved family. The Indian security forces effectively thwarted the multiple Pakistani aerial attacks along the western border, leading to a ceasefire agreement between New Delhi and Islamabad after four days of cross-border aggression.
