Strengthening Global Ties: PM Modi's Decade-First Visit to Canada

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on his first visit to Canada in a decade as part of a significant three-nation tour. After concluding a successful visit to Cyprus, where he engaged in diplomatic discussions with President Nikos Christodoulides, Modi expressed gratitude for the nation's hospitality.

The Indian leader is now en route to Canada to attend the G7 summit, scheduled for June 16-17 in Kananaskis, at the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. This marks Modi's sixth consecutive participation in the significant international forum.

During his Cyprus visit, PM Modi was honored with the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the nation's highest civilian award, underlining the strengthening bond between the two countries and India's commitment to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
