In a sharp rebuke of the ruling JD(U)-BJP government, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has declared that public sentiment is shifting towards ousting the regime in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Yadav accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of leading in an 'unconscious state,' expressing confidence that RJD's vision will triumph.
Yadav emphasized that the citizens are weary of the current government's extended 20-year tenure and are hungry for change. He unveiled a new initiative, a portal dubbed 'Let's Make Bihar Better,' aimed at galvanizing volunteers to address the state's persistent issues, including poverty and low income. Yadav has assured that this platform will facilitate community involvement to dismantle the incumbent government.
The RJD leader also criticized the BJP for its purported lack of commitment to conducting a caste census, attributing progress to opposition pressure. Meanwhile, Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj party, has called upon Biharis to embrace a new political alternative, advocating for a governance model driven by the people's will in the upcoming elections, anticipated later this year.
