Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray for inactivity during the pandemic, asserting that the public favors hardworking leaders. Shinde emphasized his government's focus on actions over accusations, which has garnered public support.
During a ceremony inducting former corporators from Nashik into his faction, he highlighted the significance of delivering concrete results since the formation of his 'people's government' in 2022. Shinde's rebellion led to a split in Shiv Sena, resulting in his appointment as chief minister with BJP support.
Shinde reiterated Shiv Sena's commitment to upholding the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray and stressed the emotional ties Nashik holds with the party. He pledged to accelerate development in the district and prioritise welfare schemes throughout Maharashtra.
