In a strategic move to ensure student safety, over 100 individuals were flown back to Delhi from Tehran early Thursday. The evacuation, dubbed 'Operation Sindhu,' was a concerted effort by the Indian Embassy in light of intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran.
On Tuesday, 110 students successfully crossed the border into Armenia, facilitated by Indian authorities. This operation demonstrates India's commitment to the safety of its citizens abroad, especially during turbulent times.
The initiative was met with gratitude from the Jammu and Kashmir Students' Association, which acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's roles in the effort. "We remain hopeful that all remaining students will be evacuated soon," the association stated.
