In a press conference on Thursday, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy leveled accusations against the N Chandrababu Naidu-led government of Andhra Pradesh. He claimed the state had been plunged into excessive debt under the TDP leadership, which failed to fulfill its poll promises.
Reddy presented data suggesting the TDP-led NDA government's borrowings exceeded 48 percent of those made over five years by the YSRCP. He detailed that State Development Loan issuances and off-budget borrowings significantly contributed to a massive fiscal deficit.
The opposition leader also accused the government of targeting YSRCP leaders with false cases for political gain. He urged the public to hold TDP leaders accountable for unfulfilled promises and emphasized the need for political transparency.
