Tensions are escalating in West Bengal as BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar describes the situation as 'emergency-like,' alleging obstruction from the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).

During his recent visit to the violence-stricken Maheshtala, Majumdar faced demonstrations from TMC supporters, reportedly involving slogans and even hurling shoes.

The BJP leader, who also serves as Union Minister of State for Education, accused TMC figures, including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee, of orchestrating these protests.
