Sparks flew in Maharashtra's political arena as a public spat erupted between Narayan Rane's sons, Nitesh and Nilesh, on social media. Both pivotal figures -- Nitesh, a BJP MLA, and Nilesh, a Shiv Sena MLA -- showcased a familial rift impacting the state's political landscape.
The sibling rivalry intensified when Nitesh directed remarks against an unnamed office-bearer of the ruling alliance, prompting Nilesh to publicly caution his brother about the implications of his words. Their father, Narayan Rane, attempted to mediate, rebuking Nitesh for his controversial language.
The saga ignited on June 7, after Nitesh's comments at a BJP gathering declared the party as 'baap' over others, drawing ire within the Mahayuti coalition. Nilesh responded through social media, calling for unity and responsible conduct, yet later retracted his message.
