Responding to media queries, Tharoor expressed hope that American officials reiterated the need for Pakistan to cease supporting terrorism. He noted that US leaders reminded their Pakistani counterparts about the importance of not providing safe havens for terrorists.
Tharoor, fresh from leading an Indian parliamentary delegation to the US, criticized the decision to meet Pakistani Army General Asim Munir over Indian officials, emphasizing India's clear stance against external mediation in its conflict with Pakistan. He further commented on the Israel-Iran tensions, expressing concern over regional stability.
