Shinde's faction shared a cartoon featuring Uddhav and Aaditya Thackeray, humorously questioning the legitimacy of their faction's celebration by highlighting their 'birth date' as October 10, 2022. The social media post quickly garnered over a lakh views, highlighting the ongoing rift between the two groups.
The factions have been at odds since June 2022 when Shinde's rebellion led to his faction being recognized as the official Shiv Sena. Today's online sparring coincided with both factions conducting separate foundation day events in Mumbai.
