Prayers and Support as Naveen Patnaik Undergoes Surgery

BJD President and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, is scheduled to undergo surgery for cervical arthritis at a Mumbai hospital. This development prompted an outpouring of prayers from party leaders and workers across the state.

Gatherings were noted at several temples, including Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar and Baba Jhadeswar in Balasore, where supporters offered 'dipa dana' and puja for Patnaik's healthy recovery. BJD vice president Debi Prasad Mishra emphasized the collective hope for a successful surgery and quick recovery.

Patnaik's influence extends beyond the party, as reflected by public prayers for his health. With his personal doctor Ramakanta Panda overseeing the treatment, the BJD remains operational under a 15-member committee during his absence.
