Naveen Patnaik, the Leader of Opposition in Odisha and BJD president, underwent successful spine surgery for cervical arthritis at a Mumbai hospital, according to a statement by Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Patnaik remains stable and under observation post-surgery.

Dr. Ramakant Panda, who oversaw the procedure, shared that Patnaik was in the operating theatre for approximately four hours, with the main surgery lasting two hours. Post-surgery, Patnaik is fully conscious and is expected to move to a private room in two days.
