Tiwari Urges Modi for Multi-party Peace Talks Amidst Israel-Iran Conflict

Tiwari's plea came after Modi's phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, following US military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Tiwari criticized Modi's outreach to only one party, stressing that a balanced approach involving talks with Israel and the US is essential. "Our PM had a conversation with Iranian President Pezeshkian... this appeal should be made to all parties," Tiwari told ANI, pushing for an all-party meeting for consensus building. Modi's call, reportedly initiated by Pezeshkian, highlights India's role in peace efforts, the Iranian leader emphasizing India's contributions to regional stability.

Meanwhile, the US government's announcement of "massive precision" strikes on Iran's nuclear sites continues to stir diplomatic waters. Iran condemned the attacks as breaches of international law, with the AEOI linking the IAEA's inaction to global complicity. India's strategic attempts for peace dovetail with ongoing evacuation efforts for Indian nationals from the conflict zones.
