Trump Administration Considers Defunding Hospitals Over Gender Treatments
The Trump administration is contemplating halting funding to hospitals that provide gender-related treatments for children. This follows a CMS letter expressing concerns about procedures' quality and profit motives. Nine hospitals received these letters, prompting some to reconsider or cease their gender care programs.

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is considering cutting funding to hospitals that provide gender-related treatments for minors, as reported by the Wall Street Journal on Monday.
This contemplation follows a May letter from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, raising concerns about quality standards and profits associated with such procedures.
Nine hospitals were asked for data regarding sex-reassignment surgeries, hormone therapy, and puberty blockers, leading some institutions to reevaluate or discontinue their gender-related care programs due to potential federal fund losses.
