The official death toll in Iran's ongoing conflict with Israel was raised on Monday, with state media reporting 935 fatalities over a 12-day period. Iran's state-run news agency IRNA revealed that among the deceased, 38 were children and 132 were women. A previous count last week listed 627 casualties.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Activists based in the US reported significantly higher fatalities, citing 1,190 deaths. According to their data collected via medical and local volunteer networks, 436 civilians and 435 military personnel were killed. They also noted that 319 of the deceased haven't been identified yet, maintaining higher casualty figures than official Iranian reports.

Tensions escalated as Israel launched a relentless assault on Iran from June 13, aiming at its nuclear facilities, defense systems, and high-profile military figures. In return, Iran fired over 550 ballistic missiles at Israel. Despite many being intercepted, those that hit their targets inflicted damage and resulted in 28 Israeli deaths.
