Ravindra Chavan Files Nomination for BJP State President

BJP MLA and former minister Ravindra Chavan on Monday filed his nomination for the party's state president position. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that a formal declaration would follow by Tuesday evening.

The election process for BJP's new state chief has commenced, with Union Minister Kiren Rijuju as the party's central observer present during the nomination. Ravindra Chavan's candidacy was backed by senior leaders, including the current chief and state Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Chavan has an impressive political trajectory, starting as a youth wing worker and rising to become a four-time legislator. His significant contributions include playing pivotal roles in party expansion and government formation, earning him key cabinet positions. Now, he is geared to lead the state BJP unit.
