In a significant political move, Bihar's BJP president Dilip Jaiswal announced the party's intent to ensure the participation of 'Pasmanda Muslims' in state politics. This announcement comes ahead of the assembly elections, emphasizing the BJP's promise to bring neglected communities into the political fold.
Pasmanda Muslims, who make up more than 70% of Bihar's Muslim population, have historically been marginalized in politics. Jaiswal stressed that while politics has often been played in the name of Muslims, true efforts to uplift Pasmanda Muslims were lacking.
The BJP's commitment highlights its broader philosophy of inclusivity, encapsulated in the slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'. This initiative aims to counter the alleged discrimination faced by Pasmanda Muslims and provide them with equal representation and opportunities.
