Rajeev Bindal is poised to continue his tenure as the BJP's Himachal Pradesh state president, facing no opposition as the sole nominee for the position. The official declaration of his unopposed re-election is expected on July 1. The nomination process for the leadership role and eight National Council members was conducted in Shimla.
During the election process, which began and ended smoothly, BJP Member of Parliament and state election chief for these organizational polls, Rajeev Bhardwaj, highlighted the party's emphasis on unity. "We opened the nomination window from noon to 2 p.m., receiving only one nomination for the state president," Bhardwaj stated, affirming Bindal's uncontested path to leadership.
Bindal's nomination was propelled by three sets of proposers: one led by Jairam Thakur with full MLA support, another by Anurag Thakur with MP backing, and the third by Govind Thakur with all party office bearers. Bhardwaj also mentioned the efficient election of National Council members and expressed gratitude to senior leaders for seamless execution.
