Trump Moves to Ease Sanctions on Syria
President Donald Trump will sign an executive order lifting some U.S. sanctions on Syria, aiding the country's reconstruction. While some restrictions on Bashar al-Assad and others remain, this move aims at fostering stability and peace in the region, reflecting Trump's commitment to international harmony.

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order this Monday aimed at lifting certain U.S. sanctions on Syria, according to White House sources. However, sanctions related to former leader Bashar al-Assad and several associated individuals will continue to be enforced.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated that sanctions would still apply to human rights violators, drug traffickers, those connected to chemical weapons, and affiliates of the Islamic State and Iranian proxies.
This development comes after Trump announced his intentions in May to ease sanctions as part of a broader initiative to help Syria recover from its lengthy civil war. The move is seen as an effort to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
