The Opposition Congress on Tuesday orchestrated a statewide protest across Kerala, asserting that the Left government has debilitated the health sector. Protesters spotlighted the alleged dearth of surgical equipment in state-run hospitals.
Prominent Congress figures, spearheading protests in front of medical colleges, highlighted deficiencies. AICC general secretary K C Venugopal launched the statewide protest in Kannur, declaring the state's health sector is floundering and state-run hospitals are causing undue strain on the populace.
The demonstrations underscored upcoming agitations targeting issues facing ordinary citizens, said Venugopal. Amidst criticism, Health Minister Veena George was urged to address problems rather than minimize them as systemic failures. The protest also saw participation from various senior Congress leaders, underscoring the significance of the unfolding health sector crisis.
