Amidst swirling rumors of a potential change in Karnataka's state leadership, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar made it clear on Tuesday that talks during a recently concluded meeting involving Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala and party MLAs were strictly organizational. Speculations about a cabinet reshuffle were firmly denied.
Speaking at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office, Shivakumar emphasized that the meeting's focus was solely on strengthening the party's framework. Under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, this year has been designated as the 'year of organization,' aiming to empower district and block presidents across the nation.
Efforts to maintain party discipline continue with Randeep Surjewala's strategic guidance. The Deputy Chief Minister also addressed internal endorsements for his candidature as Chief Minister, urging unwavering support for the current leader, Siddaramaiah. Meanwhile, the state government announced a substantial budget allocation aimed at furthering development and welfare schemes.
