The Election Commission has postponed a meeting with a multi-party opposition delegation, requested by the Congress, concerning the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar. This deferment is due to a lack of confirmation from the parties involved, according to sources on Tuesday.
On June 30, the Congress's legal counsel emailed the EC to urgently request a meeting scheduled for July 2. The meeting intended to discuss the revision exercise, which was supposedly on behalf of several political parties.
The email cited representation of numerous INDIA bloc parties. However, the Election Commission's call for confirmation from these parties remains unanswered, leading to the decision to defer the meeting.
