In a strategic move for the upcoming Assembly elections, DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin announced the launch of the 'Oraniyil Tamil Nadu' campaign. This initiative aims to inform the public about the achievements of the DMK government and highlight the alleged injustices inflicted by the Central government on Tamil Nadu.
The campaign is set to run for 45 days and will involve an extensive door-to-door engagement effort by party members, ministers, and election-in-charge functionaries to garner support from the electorate. The DMK anticipates forming alliances with additional political parties and believes this collaboration could exceed their target of winning 200 seats.
Stalin emphasized the need to counter the perceived neglect by the Union government concerning political, cultural, linguistic, and economic fronts. The campaign's overarching goal is to rally the Tamil Nadu populace, irrespective of political affiliation, against what is perceived as anti-Tamil Nadu actions by the Center.
