Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has emphasised that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contests elections not only to defeat political opponents like the Congress or other parties but for development across the state and nation. CM Yadav made the remark while addressing the media persons after the appointment of new state president of Madhya Pradesh BJP at party headquarters in Bhopal on Wednesday.

"We don't fight to win against Congress or any other party, we fight for the development of the region and get an identity in the region with our developmental works. Also, to remove the difficulties of the public for which they vote for us. We have changed the image of the tribal region in the state. We have established a food park in a tribal area in the state, which was appreciated by the government of India," CM Yadav said. The CM highlighted that they thought that food parks should not be established in urban areas but in tribal areas too. The state government is also working on how to run Gaushalas, to perform natural farming, to make arrangements at Food parks and food processing units should be established so that farmers get fair prices for the produce.

He further added that there is a lot to speak about the development works but the occasion is all about the election of the state party president. Hemant Khandelwal, a legislator from Betul, was officially appointed as the new state president of the party on Wednesday. He has been elected unopposed after emerging as the sole candidate filed nomination papers for the post on Tuesday.

Speaking to ANI, newly appointed Madhya Pradesh BJP President, Hemant Khandelwal said, "I would like to express gratitude towards the party leadership. I will try to live up to the trust of the party workers. Maintaining the current status of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I will try to grow it further." Several BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav felicitated newly appointed party president, Hemant Khandelwal, at the party's state headquarters here. (ANI)
