In a significant political shift within the Punjab government, Ajnala MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has resigned from his position as cabinet minister. Dhaliwal's resignation followed a cabinet reshuffle that saw the induction of newly-elected Ludhiana West MLA Sanjeev Arora, who replaces Dhaliwal in handling NRI affairs, along with other portfolios.

Despite stepping down, Dhaliwal reiterated his unwavering loyalty to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leadership. Addressing the press, he stated that every party worker deserves a chance and expressed satisfaction with his three-and-a-half-year tenure. Dhaliwal emphasized his commitment to the party's success and his constituents.

Since joining AAP in December 2015, Dhaliwal has held significant responsibilities, including rural development, where he reclaimed encroached panchayat land, and NRI affairs, resolving numerous cases. He thanked AAP Leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for their trust, promising to continue serving Punjab with dedication.
