Following the incident, UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the ruling Mahayuti government for its lack of response, alleging political bias in media coverage. Chaturvedi highlighted Gaikwad's previous controversial remarks and questioned the media's silence due to his political affiliations.
