Twenty-five countries, including Britain and France, have issued a joint statement urging for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza. The statement, supported by several European nations, underscores Israel's need to adhere to international law.

The foreign ministers of countries like Australia, Canada, and Japan expressed concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, condemning the limited aid provision and civilian casualties caused by ongoing military actions.

Underscoring the humanitarian crisis affecting over 2 million Palestinians, the signatories advocate for a ceasefire and political resolution. The US and Germany, however, refrained from endorsing this declaration.
