The BJP on Monday accused Congress and opposition parties of disrupting parliamentary proceedings to build a false narrative around Operation Sindoor. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha sessions were interrupted by noisy protests demanding a debate on the matter and other issues.

In response, BJP spokesperson K K Sharma criticized Congress for attempting to spread propaganda on the issue. Despite government leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, expressing readiness for discussions, the opposition insisted on causing a ruckus, he added.

Beyond parliamentary disruptions, tensions were fueled by the arrest of an NSUI leader in Odisha related to a rape case. The BJP called on Rahul Gandhi to address actions against those involved, while NSUI president Varun Choudhary suspended the accused, reinforcing a zero-tolerance policy toward gender-based injustice.
