Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari launched an attack against the BJP on Tuesday, accusing it of reneging on its promises to the people. Patwari pledged Congress's commitment to advocating for citizens' rights and called for a caste-based census in Madhya Pradesh similar to Telangana's initiative.
In an interview with ANI, Patwari stated, "A caste-based census must be conducted in Madhya Pradesh as it was in Telangana. The BJP has failed to deliver on its promises, and Congress will champion the rights of the people. I urge Mohan Yadav to publicly apologize for halting the OBC reservation and to enforce it promptly." Meanwhile, Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar revealed that a Congress convention focusing on empowering backward classes and fostering awareness is scheduled for July 25 in Delhi.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot emphasized the importance of unity across castes and religions in realizing India's ambition of becoming a 'Vishwaguru.' Gehlot told reporters that only through social justice can such unity and progress be achieved, aligning with Rahul Gandhi's vision.
