Trump Secures $16M Settlement from Paramount
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Paramount paid $16 million as part of a lawsuit settlement. The settlement arises from a lawsuit over an interview with Kamala Harris. Trump said the total expected settlement is $36 million.

U.S. President Donald Trump reported on Tuesday that Paramount, the parent company of CBS, has disbursed $16 million as part of a lawsuit settlement. The legal dispute was related to an interview conducted with then-Vice President Kamala Harris, which was aired by the network in October.
Earlier this month, Paramount consented to resolve the lawsuit initiated by Trump, who took issue with the broadcast and its implications. This settlement marks a significant milestone in the ongoing legal proceedings involving the media giant.
In a Truth Social post, Trump announced, "We have just achieved a BIG AND IMPORTANT WIN in our Historic Lawsuit against 60 Minutes, CBS, and Paramount. Paramount/CBS/60 Minutes have today paid $16 Million Dollars in settlement, and we also anticipate receiving $20 Million Dollars more from the new Owners."
