The initial two days of Parliament's Monsoon Session saw minimal progress, with BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar admonishing the opposition for disrupting proceedings and squandering public resources. Sarkar accused opposition parties of bearing responsibility for whether the legislative sessions proceed effectively.

The session continued to face turmoil as Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha meetings were repeatedly adjourned amid protests centered on the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar. Concerns mount as these revisions coincide with upcoming state elections, prompting intense debates among political figures.

In light of continued disruptions, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju criticized the opposition's tactics, suggesting an inconsistency in their demands for discussion. Rijiju emphasized the government's willingness to engage in dialogue, challenging the opposition to cease other activities hindering parliamentary functions. Tensions persist with opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, actively protesting the electoral roll changes.
