The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed abrupt adjournments as opposition members persisted in protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. As the Monsoon Session continued, Speaker Om Birla halted Lok Sabha proceedings, following intense uproar from the opposition.

Speaker Birla criticized the opposition's use of placards, stressing the need for decorum and dialogue instead of sloganeering. Despite demands for discussions on significant issues, the Speaker declared, 'This house is for discussion, not disruption,' before pausing the session.

In the Rajya Sabha, similar disruptions led to its adjournment. Opposition members moved adjournment motions seeking debate on pressing topics, including the SIR exercise and national security concerns. Congress MPs and other leaders labeled the voter list revision as "unconstitutional," charging the government with disenfranchising underprivileged communities.
