In a heated political exchange, the Congress party on Thursday echoed Janata Dal (United) MP Giridhari Yadav's critical remarks in the Lok Sabha, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of neglecting Bihar's railway development for over a decade. Yadav's scathing comments directed at Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw amplified the claims of Bihar being overlooked.
Yadav questioned the minister on whether any new train services had commenced between major cities like Patna and Delhi or Patna and Bangalore under Modi's leadership, to which the answer was negative. The Congress amplified Yadav's critique on social media, further alleging unfair treatment of Bihar by the central government.
Moreover, Yadav also targeted the Election Commission over its Special Intensive Revision in Bihar, labeling it as forcefully imposed. He argued that the poll panel lacked knowledge of Bihar's unique challenges, citing personal difficulties in meeting the new requirements within the stipulated timeframe.
