Australia's Defence Minister, Richard Marles, has affirmed that the AUKUS nuclear submarine pact is advancing rapidly, showing no signs of slowing down even in the face of a review launched by the Trump administration.

Speaking at a joint news conference with U.K. foreign and defence ministers in Sydney, Marles welcomed the review, indicating Australia's intention to contribute constructively.

He highlighted that approximately 120 Australian tradespeople are currently stationed in Pearl Harbor, actively working on the sustainment of U.S. Virginia class submarines, underscoring ongoing and robust cooperation between the allied nations.
