Siddaramaiah's Son Stands Firm: No Apology for Mysuru Comment

In a contentious statement, Yathindra, the son of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, clarified his earlier remarks comparing his father's contributions to Mysuru with those of the revered Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar. Yathindra asserted that his comments were misinterpreted and not intentionally disrespectful towards the Wadiyar legacy.

Despite facing demands for an apology from opposition parties, particularly the BJP and JD(S), Yathindra held firm. He expressed deep respect for the 24th Maharaja of Mysuru, renowned as 'Rajarshi' and lauded his father's administration for matching, if not exceeding, Wadiyar's efforts in terms of grants and welfare commitments.

Amidst the controversy, Mysuru's BJP MP and Wadiyar family scion, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, urged for leadership to focus on fulfilling promises rather than comparisons. He refrained from further comments, stating that public opinion would naturally follow.
