Trump Sets Final Countdown for Russia: 12 Days to Act on Ukraine War
U.S. President Donald Trump has set a new deadline for Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine, shortening it from 50 to 10-12 days. Amid meetings in Scotland, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin and threatened sanctions if no progress is made.

U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed a fresh deadline for Russia to demonstrate progress toward ending the war in Ukraine. Initially set at 50 days, the timeline has been reduced to 10-12 days as frustrations with Russian President Vladimir Putin grow.
During his visit to Scotland, Trump met with European leaders and expressed disappointment with Putin, stating, "I'm going to make a new deadline of about 10 or 12 days from today." He emphasized the importance of swift action, citing the lack of progress as the reason for the shortened timeline.
While Trump has maintained a seemingly cordial relationship with Putin in the past, this latest ultimatum threatens sanctions and tariffs should Russia fail to act. Trump noted, "There's no reason to wait. If you know what the answer is going to be, why wait?" The Kremlin has yet to respond to Trump's demands.
