Amid rising political tensions, Karnataka opposition leader R Ashoka has launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, holding him accountable for the burgeoning drug mafia in Mysuru. Accusing the government of negligence, Ashoka highlighted the existence of a drug factory in Mysuru, questioning the role of the Home Department.
Ashoka further criticized Siddaramaiah for his perceived lack of development initiatives, notably pointing out that the CM had not prioritized infrastructure projects in Mysuru. He alleged that political maneuverings within Congress are underway, hinting at a potential change in leadership by October, with Mallikarjun Kharge being a prominent figure in the discussions.
With echoes of past political rivalries, Ashoka also touched on issues beyond Mysuru, such as the recent deaths in Dharmasthala. He urged responsible reporting to avoid defaming the revered shrine, insisting that authorities must identify the culpable parties without succumbing to external pressures.
