In a fiery critique of the central government, Independent MP Pappu Yadav expressed deep concerns regarding India's internal security and foreign policy. Following Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, Yadav questioned the administration's efficacy in addressing terrorism, specifically referencing the recent Pahalgam attack.
Yadav criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for lacking a robust national strategy beyond symbolic gestures, highlighting the persistent insecurity in Kashmir despite the abrogation of Article 370. He pointed to the government's inability to capture the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack as indicative of larger security failings.
Congress leader Gaurav Gogai further attacked the BJP-led government over its handling of the Pahalgam incident, which resulted in 26 fatalities. Gogai questioned why Operation Sindoor ceased with Pakistan's retreat and urged further decisive actions to reclaim disputed territories. He underscored the fear and chaos faced by civilians during the attack.
