BJP member of Parliament Jagdambika Pal on Tuesday took a critical stance against the Congress party and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly interrupting parliamentary discussions on Operation Sindoor. Pal, speaking with ANI, claimed that Congress had effectively stalled the legislative process for an entire week.
Pal asserted that despite the importance of the discussion initiated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rahul Gandhi and his party entered the Well of the House to disrupt proceedings. He noted Rahul's absence during significant parts of the debate, implying a lack of serious engagement in critical national security discussions.
During the after-hour adjournment, Rahul Gandhi remarked to reporters that his statements would be reserved for Parliament. Meanwhile, Congress MP Manickam Tagore countered that the government was evading essential discussions on issues like the Pahalgam terror attack. Rajnath Singh retorted, accusing the opposition of focusing on lesser issues that divert from national security priorities.
